If you are looking for a project-wide solution instead of an individual student work placement, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) industry projects can help you achieve your project goals.
WIL industry projects provide an opportunity for students to work – either as individuals or as a team – on a real project for one of our partner organisations. Projects are usually completed on campus, under academic supervision, and deliver on a brief from an industry or community client. Students can develop their skills in project management, client liaison and may work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Industry project units are effective in disciplines where work placements are not an option. They are also particularly suited in situations where an organisation has an excellent project which students can work on, but is not able to provide suitable supervision in the workplace.
In consultation with academic staff at Murdoch University, organisations provide a client brief – often to a group of students – which requires them to integrate and appropriately apply their previous learning to understand, design and deliver on the brief.
