Academic support is available through enabling courses, pathways, mentoring, dedicated support coordinators, tutorial assistance, peer assistance and networking opportunities.
Enabling courses and pathways
At Murdoch there are enabling courses and pathways available to help you either enter your desired course or support you while you are studying.
Some of these courses are designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students such as K-Track.

Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre offers specialised support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through dedicated support coordinators and peer assistance initiatives.

Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS)
ITAS is a federally-funded program which gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a tutor who provides academic skills support and helps you adapt to life at university.

Community and your health and wellbeing
Your student support coordinator can provide social, cultural and emotional support and guide you to other services and resources available throughout Murdoch.

Getting financial support
Scholarships can provide financial support as well as many other benefits. There are scholarships tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and you may be eligible for others, depending on your circumstances, background, academic results or what you are studying.
