If you are experiencing financial or personal hardship there are financial support options available to help you meet your goals.
Scholarships
Scholarships are payments to help support your study. They’re not loans so don’t need to be repaid. Most scholarships are not intended to cover the whole cost of tuition fees, but can help to cover university costs such as books, living expenses and transport.
Murdoch offers scholarships for:
- students facing financial hardship
- students with records of high achievement
- students from regional areas
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- international students
- students studying specific courses.
You can also explore your options with scholarships offered by external providers, including government and private organisations.
Overseas student loans
International students may be eligible for financial aid programs offered by the government in their home country.
Book subsidy scheme
If you are a domestic student and struggling financially, you can apply each semester for a voucher to purchase essential textbooks from the Murdoch Bookshop.
Student Assist
The Murdoch Guild Student Assist office offers a wide range of student welfare and financial support options, including an on-campus food bank with non-perishable food for students who are struggling financially.
