Why study veterinary science at Murdoch?
Since our inception in 1974, Murdoch has offered Western Australia’s only Veterinary Science course, providing students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and practical experience necessary to solve the existing and emerging problems of our companion animals, livestock and wildlife.
Our integrated Bachelors-Masters degree provides a comprehensive foundation in veterinary medicine and animal health. Throughout this five-year program, you'll gain theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical experience. Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, surgery, and animal welfare. Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to register as a veterinarian in Australia and many other countries.
For students who have already completed a relevant undergraduate degree, we offer postgraduate and research courses that provide advanced knowledge and specialised training in veterinary science.
