Run by Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre, Ngoolark helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students transition into a Bachelor of Arts, Business, Education or Nursing. It’s tailored to your individual needs and is designed to enhance your capacity for success in the other units you’re studying.

Course description
The learning experiences within the Ngoolark program are designed to complement the assessments and curriculum of your first-year core units. This helps you to complete your first year studying at a more gradual pace.
You’ll learn the skills needed to pass your units and develop broader academic and life skills. These include:
- critical and creative thinking
- effective time management and problem solving
- self-reflection and self-knowledge
- study habits and motivation strategies
- finding and using resources to help you achieve your academic goals.

Entry requirements
This unit is only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is based on your student results during our K-Track enabling program. It can also be used as a diagnostic test if you didn’t complete K-Track.
You also need to meet our English language requirements.
How to apply
You can apply for Ngoolark after you have accepted an offer for a Bachelor of Arts, Education, Business or Nursing.
