Honours courses are available to study once you have completed your undergraduate degree or as an optional extension to your undergraduate degree in your final year. An honours degree is usually a combination of coursework and a research project or thesis that allows you to focus on a specialisation in an area of your choice. depending on your career and academic aspirations.

You can begin studying a postgraduate degree once you have an undergraduate degree. Or if it’s your first time at uni you can apply with significant industry experience that you’ve applied throughout your career. Postgraduate degrees can deepen your understanding and knowledge of your speciality area or undergraduate degree or they can help you switch career paths and embark on a brand new journey in a different area.

Postgraduate degrees can be studied at various levels depending on your career goals and aspirations.

Graduate Certificate

A Graduate Certificate or ‘grad cert’ for short, is a more specialised qualification than an undergraduate or Bachelor’s degree. If you already work in a particular field or have qualifications in a particular area, and you want to get more in-depth knowledge and advanced leadership skills, this level of course is for you. Grad certs can be completed in as little as one semester of full-time study (six months) or spread out over up to two years if you want to study part time. This duration makes it easier for you if you are a working professional, parent or someone who isn’t really sure about your choice just yet. A Graduate Certificate can also serve as a pathway into a Master’s degree. If you start a Graduate Certificate you may progress to a Graduate Diploma or Master upon successful completion, and you may gain credit for your study.

Graduate Diploma

A graduate diploma, or ‘grad dip’ for short, is usually . Grad dips , with more in-depth knowledge. This can be a good option if you’d like to return to study but don’t have the time required for a master’s degree just yet, your graduate diploma can be used as a qualification by itself or can serve as a pathway into a Master’s degree.

Master

A Master’s degree is a great choice if you want to advance your career prospects and stand out in your chosen profession. Usually studying a Master’s degree will take 1.5 to two years full time (or part-time equivalent). Master’s degrees are highly regarded by employers for the high level of specialised industry knowledge and skills they provide.

Another advantage of a coursework master’s degree is you can choose the course type that best suits you. You can choose to do a Master’s by coursework or by coursework and dissertation, depending on your aspirations and your focus on research.
