Rose and Stan de Pierres Scholarship

This scholarship was first established in 2008 by donors who are passionate about the support of regional students and sustainability principles. The Rose and Stan de Pierres Scholarship invites students in their final year of study to apply, from the following courses:

  • Environmental Engineering
  • Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Environmental Management and Sustainability
  • Environmental Management and Sustainability (Honours)
  • Environmental Science
  • Environmental Science (Honours)

The scholarship is intended to reward a student with a history of high academic or professional achievement, and preference will be given to those who have relocated from a regional or remote area to study at Murdoch.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship you must: 

  • be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
  • be enrolled in your final year of study (3rd or 4th year if undertaking honours)
  • be enrolled full-time in either:
    • Environmental Engineering 
    • Renewable Energy Engineering 
    • Environmental Management and Sustainability 
    • Environmental Science
  • have a record of excellent achievement in previous post-secondary study or professional work.

How to Apply

Complete the online application form below and attach the required documents by the closing date. 

Required Documents

This scholarship requires you to provide the following documents:

  • completed application form
  • copies of your academic transcript
  • evidence of your excellent achievement, professional work or post-secondary studies
  • a personal statement of no more than two A4 pages
  • up to two written references from current or former employers or academic staff.

Payment Method

Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $1,500 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
  • $1,500 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester

All payments are subject to your ongoing acceptance and compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
